The school year is underway and Hadrian has been up at the crack of dawn to prepare for the circus that is teaching 4th grade. And I've been copying him, like I tend to do when my wonderful husband engages in healthy life practices that make him even more wonderful (happy, productive, and patient with me). So I too have been rising at 5:30 in the morning. I've gone swimming, 6am yoga-ing, coffee shop-ing, apartment cleaning and leisurely breakfasting with my extra 2 hours. I must say it feels great to be an early riser. To be up with the birds and runners and restaurant owners. Choosing to get out of bed and accomplish something before the day has begun is refreshing and rewarding.
Today I woke up, made coffee with our new AeroPress (purchased as soon as we got back from Chattanooga. Yes our trip did turn my coffee-only-once-a-week aspiration into a try-and-smell-the-buttered-baguette-in-the-prettily-wrapped-coffee-beans-you-purchased-for-$18-a-bag aspiration), prepared and ate breakfast with Hadrian, and then took a walk to the lake and snapped some pictures of my sun soaked neighborhood along the way.
