AIC Wanderings

Today Hadrian and I spent the afternoon with a new friend at the Art Institute of Chicago. Here's a little peak at Off the Bolt, a exhibition featuring block printed silk textiles gifted to the museum in the 1920's. I would love to make a scarf or duvet cover out of one of these!

And this exquisitely realistic sculpture. It is incredible that the artists were able to capture the majesty of this ancient tree and the beauty of its death. How it immediately begins giving back to it's source, seamlessly continuing it's participation in the ecosystem, contributing to the breath and heartbeat of the earth. It's a beautiful one!
