My sister, Madelyn, is an aspiring opera singer and consequentially a genius at avoiding/curing a sore throat. I've been feeling under the weather lately (perhaps a less enjoyable means of slowing down than I'd hoped for), and downing mug after mug of this strong and delicious tea. To make one cup you'll need:
One half lemon, juiced/squeezed
About one and half inch fresh ginger, juiced/peeled and grated
A LOT of raw honey
Mix ingredients together and let steep in hot water for about five minutes. A juicer produces a more pristine version, but gritty is just as good. Feel free to leave all the ginger and lemon pulp in there, just avoid it as you sip. Wishing you all a happy and healthy January!
